media release
During the dance year, pictures and/or videos are taken of the Diaga Irish Dancers for in-house use and/or marketing purposes in the greater community. These pictures or videos may be used in combination with dance school brochures, website or other media without financial compensation.
social media policy
Dancers and parents are asked to take careful consideration when posting to social media accounts and refrain from commenting on public forums in a manner that could discredit Diaga Irish Dance or the Irish dance community as a whole. Competitions oftentimes have highs and lows, and comments such as “not the results we had hoped for” however genuine in the moment, reflect negatively on our school and program. We focus on the positive aspects of our dancers, and aspire to present each student in the best possible light. As such, we expect school members to reciprocate this intention.
The posting of Diaga Irish Dance choreography on social media is prohibited unless specific permission has been granted.
dancer CODE OF CONDUCT
Uniform is required at every class. Specifics can be found in our Members Hub.
Dancers are expected to bring a positive attitude, a willingness to work hard, and an open mind to every class.
Dancers are expected to be respectful of their instructors and fellow students at all times.
Dancers are expected to support one another at competitions and shows, demonstrating team spirit and unity.
Gossip and/or bullying of other students will not be tolerated.
COSTUMING AND PERFORMANCE
All aspects of costuming for competition and performance must be pre-approved by Diaga Irish Dance.
Correspondence with costume designers must be communicated, and final sketches granted approval before costumes are set to production.
Students representing Diaga Irish Dance in performances outside of school sanctioned events must be granted approval.
WAIVER
